The 8th Annual Miami-Dade and Broward Medical Research Competition for residents and medical students enrolled in Miami-Dade and Broward counties, will be held on March 6th, 2027. Finalists will present their research or clinical case reports before a panel of judges.
This prestigious competition accepts abstracts that cover case reports, original research, quality improvement initiatives, and advocacy projects. It provides a platform for residents and medical students to showcase their work and contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge within the local and state medical community.

Call for Volunteers to Serve as Competition Evaluators
The Miami-Dade County Medical Association (MDCMA) is seeking physician volunteers to serve on the Evaluation Committee for the 8th Annual Miami-Dade and Broward Medical Research Competition.
We invite BCMA members with an interest in research, medical education, mentorship, or advancing the next generation of physicians to consider serving as an evaluator. Committee members will review research presentations and provide constructive feedback as part of the competition's evaluation process. Apply to volunteer as an evaluator.
The competition will be held at the Pullman Miami Airport, located at 5800 Waterford District Drive, Miami, Florida 33126.
